Internship Opportunity, London, Oct/Nov 2011. Processing, Arduino, PureData, Wearable Controllers…

We are seeking a motivated & enthusiastic tech intern to work on a show at the Riverside Studios, London, UK in October (rehearsals) & November (the run is 16th – 26th, though not every night). The candidate must be available for all or most dates – some full days but mostly evenings. We are integrating open- and closed-source sensor and music-production technologies, including Ableton Live/PureData/Processing/Arduino, to create wearable wireless media controllers, and are looking for someone who can become the ‘go-to’ person in case of technical issues. This would involve learning the show so they can set it and test …

I’m stills photographer on Nierka, a multidisciplinary, multisensory performance currently in production by Satore Studio. More on that when the project is a bit more public, but until then, watch the teaser trailer above…

Max Studio’s Summer Party 2011 : Production Design (Satore Studio)

Nando Messias To Perform Sissy in Paris, November 2011

Nando Messias will be performing his piece Sissy in Paris, in November 2011. I’ve been documenting the development of Sissy since 2009. Sissy is a lovely piece of work, and I’m proud that Nando has used one of my rehearsal images of him for the poster for the show (above), which is running at La Loge, 77 Rue de Charconne, Paris 11, from 8th to 11th November, 2011.

Lovebox 2011 — Sunday

A lovely day in the park (between the torrential showers which appear to have killed the external power pack for my flash), spent backstage with (and in the wings of main stage to shoot) Feral AKA MC Kinky (above — check her bash-tastic new track TWEET RETWEET on Soundcloud) and Jonny Woo, Bourgeois and Maurice and friends, then backstage for the afternoon at the ever-loving NYC Downlow. An excellent day, well-spent. Thanks as always to Lovebox’s Adrian Fillary for AAA press pass, to Scottee for artist passes, and to Caron, Jonny, Liv and George, and to all the Downlow crew …

Paris Acid Ball, Dalston Superstore

If you didn’t make it down last night (or if you did, and don’t want it to end just yet), you should immediately download Squeaky’s mix from Soundcloud, and play it as loudly as you can…. very very nice.

Lindsay Kemp — Hecuba

With the kind support of Nendie Pinto-Duschinsky, director of work-in-progress film Lindsay Kemp’s Last Dance, and David Haughton, I recently travelled to Rome to shoot the dress rehearsal of Ensemble di Micha Van Hoecke’s production of Euripides’s Hecuba, with Lindsay Kemp as Hecuba. I also had a couple of a very pleasant couple of hours’ chat and shooting with Lindsay in his dressing room before the performance.
