The second of Sean Brosnan’s Future Disco compilations, released on his new label NeedWant, has hit the shelves. I’ve only had one listen so far, but the quality of tracks and edits seems up there with those of the first Future Disco, which was released earlier this year by Azuli.

Grab a copy. And come along to the launch party at the Queen of Hoxton on October 16th — Faze Action (Live), Crazy P (Live / DJ Set), Severino, Sean Brosnan, Matty J provide the music for what should be a big night.

As with the first Future Disco compilation, the accompanying booklet features some of my nightlife photos — fans of Ma Butcher should be very happy indeed.

Over the past months, I’ve been documenting Nando’s development of his performance piece Sissy, which forms part of his practice-based PhD research on the issue of male effeminacy. This week I’ve been over at the Central School of Speech and Drama taking photos of final rehearsals and full dress rehearsal.

The show, created in collaboration with Biño Sauitzvy, is brilliant. Last performance for the current run was last night, but keep an eye out of possible future dates. Nando is also performing next Tuesday (6 October) at Bistrotheque, as part of the UNDERCONSTRUCTION season.
